Q: What is the difference between a C-Type and Giclée print?
A: I have a dedicated page to explain to you the differences between the two printing processes. However, generally speaking, digital C-type printing is where a printing machine exposes light-sensitive photographic paper using a digitally controlled light source. Giclée is ink-jet printing, a dry process whereby ink is sprayed directly onto a paper in a series of dots.
C-Type prints are open editions prints which are produced in an unlimited fashion. This means that there is no cap to the number of copies that can be in circulation. They are a great way for people to own and invest in my work without having to shell out a fortune.
On the other hand, Giclée prints are limited edition prints with a more exclusive print run. They are more expensive, are printed on museum-grade Fine Art Giclée paper and come with a certificate of authenticity to provide limited edition provenance.

Q: Do panorama prints only come as Giclée prints?
A: Yes, at this time the panorama prints are only available on Giclée paper. This ensures the best quality for the panoramas and at the same time ensures that the number of prints available is limited.

Q: Are all pictures taken by you?
A: Yes, I currently only sell photographies that I took myself during my work as a Polar Expedition Guide in recent years. In each product description you will find an explicit indication of when and where the respective picture was taken. If you have further question please don’t hesitate and get in touch.
Q: What does it mean that I donate automatically 5%? What is the 5% for the Arctic about?
A: When you buy something with me, I will donate 5% of the sales price automatically to the WWF Arctic Programme - whether I'm profitable or not. Through all my work I try to raise awareness for the interconnection of the environment and the ecosystems of our planet because I am convinced that we protect better what we know well. Supporting an organisation that is doing the field work and works on an educational level as well as in actual projects to restore habitats and ecosystems is the logical next step. The WWF Arctic Programme is the only circumpolar environmental NGO with Observer status at the Arctic Council and therefor the perfect partner for protecting and restoring the ecosystems of an interconnected Arctic.
