A professional art print is made using the very best high definition equipment and finest materials, all overseen by master printers. For my fine art prints I exclusively work together with The Print Space, UK’s leading Fine Art and Photographic printers. When you order one of my prints, you can instantly see the difference.
A Giclée print is a high quality archival inkjet print. The word Giclée (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’ with a soft J), comes from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". I make colour-perfect Giclée prints for you, using the very latest technology. My paper of choice for our giclée prints is the sustainable art paper Hahnemühle Photo Rag®.
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is one of the world’s most popular papers and the valued all-rounder for high-quality Fine Art inkjet printing. The white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and impressive pictorial depth. Combined with the matt premium inkjet coating, this paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail.

C-type prints are basically the darkroom in the Digital Age – true photographic prints made using chromogenic materials and processes but with the light source coming from a digital file, rather than directly from a negative. Light sensitive silver halide paper is exposed using an LED or laser light source and put through a conventional chemical developing process. My paper of choice for C-Type prints is Fujicolor Crystal Matt.
Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper semi-matt finish is a silver halide colour paper, designed exclusively to produce high-image-quality colour prints. The paper is coated with a slightly stippled texture giving a very natural photographic finish with subtle colour. Great versatile paper, very natural and works well with all photographic images. Maintains colours in a very natural way, giving a detailed, 3-dimensional beautiful photographic reproduction. For me, C-Type prints are an inexpensive choice if you want to buy a print for the first time.

Not only the size, but above all the right format play an important role in the effect of a fine art print. Depending on whether you want to place your print as a single large format panorama in the living room or as a smaller fine art print in a collection in your office, you have the choice between smaller prints and larger panorama prints.
My standard sizes for landscapes and portraits are based on the DIN formats A4 and A3, but differ slightly from the DIN standards. The formats also differ depending on the type of paper and printing form.
The more affordable C-Type prints are available in standard sizes for which there are inexpensive frames, available e.g. at Desenio or Ikea. My smallest and probably most popular print size for C-type prints measures 21x30 cm (8.3x11.8 in) and is therefore about the size of a sheet of A4. This size fits perfectly in almost all environments and is suitable for pretty much all motifs - from wildlife to landscapes to portraits.
The same motifs are also available in almost twice the size of 30x40 cm (11.8x15.8 in), which gives the picture a little more effect. Whether with or without a passe-partout, the picture certainly stands out in this size.
The premium version on Glicée paper differ slightly in size from the C-type prints, they are slightly larger. The smallest version is available with the dimensions 20x30 cm (7.9x11.8 in), while the next larger is 30x45 cm (11.8x17.7 in). There are only a few standard frames in which the prints fit. I recommend either using larger frames with a passe-partout or having an individual frame made. The Hahnemühle Photo Rag® is expressly not suitable for being pulled onto a stretcher frame. The special feel of the paper and its structure gives the picture additional depth and a 3-dimensional appearance. Certainly the best choice for prints that you want to stand out. All Glicée standard size prints are limited to 10 prints per design.
For a much bigger impact, I selected for you the 50x70 cm format for the C-type prints. While the smaller prints also work in arrangements or collections, this size calls for an individual presentation. Whether living room, office or practice - in this format the polar worlds come into their own in an excellent and inexpensive way.
To bring the breathtaking landscapes of the polar regions home, there is nothing better than premium panorama prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Glicée paper. The beautiful lightly defined structure of the white cotton paper gives the picture an incredible depth and breathtaking 3-dimensional effect.
The panoramas come in two sizes. For beginners there is the small format 36x75 cm, while enthusiasts can hang a 48x100 cm in the living room. The smaller format is limited to 10 prints per motif, the larger format only to 5 prints per motif. For absolute lovers there is a small, very exclusive selection of XL prints in the 72x150cm format. Each motif is limited to just one print. Absolute exclusivity for absolute lovers.
